Our team at Restorasis Integrative & Functional Medicine offers patients industry leading treatment options, utilizing innovative techniques and the latest medical technology in order to stimulate your body’s own natural healing ability.  One of the key components of functional and regenerative medicine is the use of Exosomes.

As research continues, the field of exosome has evolved into the greatest hope for those suffering from degenerative disease, pain and injury and looking for methods to improve their quality of life.

To find out more about this leading-edge treatment option, please schedule a consultation with one of our Restorasis Clinicians to discuss your specific concerns.

What are Exosomes, and why are they useful?

Exosomes are showing exciting promise – they are demonstrating great ability to provide therapeutic benefits. Exosomes are extracellular vesicles (small structures within a cell) released from cells in response to injuries.  When cells are injured or aging, they release distress signals, these helper cells known as exosomes and are used to repair the cell.  Recently, exosomes have been gaining momentum as a novel alternative strategy for accessing the therapeutic effects of stem cells without the risks and difficulties of administering actual cells to patients.

Why are exomes becoming so popular?

Exosomes are recognized in the field of regenerative medicine as a safe alternative to stem cell therapy that are shown to have less risks to the host when used for cellular and tissue repair.

So, are they better than Stem Cells?

In some cases, yes, the regenerative properties of exosomes can be a more efficient route to healing.  Communication between individual cells and tissues as a whole was long conceived to be primarily simple molecular signaling. It has now become apparent that additional, arguably more sophisticated methods of cell-cell communication exist, this is the signals of exosomes. Exosomes are leading the way in the field of regenerative medicine.

What Can I Expect?

To determine which is the best application for regenerative signaling cells for you, we listen carefully to find out what concerns you most, then we make recommendations based on your personal needs.

After your treatment, you and your Restorasis Clinician can determine what activities are right for you to resume after treatment.

Remember that every individual is different. Two key elements for success are the severity of your condition and your body’s response to exosome therapy.  At Restorasis Integrative & Functional Medicine, we first consult with our patients to determine if they are a candidate for exosome therapy.
