Chronic Fatigue

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) leads to a poor quality of life and low productivity.  CFS can affect both men and women, smptoms from just moving slow to complete exhaustion.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can be characterized

by these symptoms:

  • Fatigue that is not alleviated by the reduction of stress

  • Extreme fatigue even with light exertion

  • Loss of memory and cognitive delcline

  • Anxiety & depression

The causes CFS vary but one thing known for sure is that there are certrain "triggers" that cause the body to stop making the energy required for anything other than basic functions.

The body is just short on energy causing exhaustion as they expend more energy than their body can generate.  This shortfall affects the gland in the brain that controls sleep, temerature regulation, hormonal function and blood pressure.

Understanding the root cause of CFS is impportant since it will determine the course of treatment to certain extent.  It is almost impossible for a person to resolve CFS on their own since there are so many factors involved.  For the best treatment outcome, CFS patients require an expereinced functional and integravite physician.
